Naturally grown
Thai Basil has small, narrow, arrow-shaped leaves, purple buds, and purple-tinged stems, which offer a nice contrast to its bright green leaves. The leaves are very aromatic and have a warm, spicy, anise-clove flavor with notes of licorice. When the plant matures, spikes of lavender and deep purple flowers grow at the tops of the burgundy stems. The edible flowers share the same intense spice and hint of licorice flavor. Originally from Southeast Asia and is commonly found in Asian cuisine.
Store as you would flowers, in a vase with stems in water. Keep leaves dry until ready to eat. Use within 2-3 days for best results.
